Parent-Teacher Book Chat 2013

Who are we?
We are the parent-teacher group of Knapp Elementary School.

What do we do?
  • Assist in building an educated and engaged community (Ensure parents are informed through newsletters, Q&A sessions, host ParentCamp and family events)
  • Provide funding for those educational extras (field trips, assemblies, etc)
  • Offer a setting for parents and teachers to engage in open dialogue (Parent-Teacher book chat, monthly meetings with option to join virtually)

How can you join?
EVERY Knapp family and staff member belongs to this group. There is no fee to pay to belong – nor does it require an invitation.

When and where do we meet?
  • 4th Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm.
  • In the Knapp IMC and online at www.anymeeting.com/Knappsters1. (Listen to the meeting online ~ type comments or questions in the text box)

How can you help?
  • You do not need to be a stay-at-home mom.
  • There are opportunities for moms, dads, grandparents, or anyone else important in a Knapp student’s life (including community members).
  • There are opportunities during the day or evening; weekdays or weekends; from home or at school.
  • Examples of opportunities: lend a hand for/at events(planning, hands on, decorating/set up), make event posters, bake, weed the koi pond, sort Market Day orders, or simply join in the conversations to make Knapp a better school than it was yesterday.
